About the Publisher

Before the founding of Economix – International Journal of Economic Sciences, Consulting and Training Center KEY has had a long track record in publishing, training, and event management, enjoying wide recognition both domestically and internationally.

It has published various titles within the food industry and has been responsible for organizing many international events, such as Congresses, Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Round table discussions, and B2B meetings. It also has trained over 1000 people in the fields of Food Safety, HACCP, Hygienic Design, Implementation of EU standards, and Utilization of EU funds.

This has been possible by founding its first journal, the Journal of Hygienic Engineering and Design (JHED), founded in 2011, a journal that also serves as the official publishing platform for the international and Scientific Congress for Food Quality and Safety, Hygienic Engineering and Design, Health and Nutrition – NUTRICON, organized annually since 2014, in June, in Ohrid, Macedonia.

Now, Consulting and Training Center KEY has expanded its expertise in the field of economic sciences, with ambitions of matching and enriching all its previous achievements in the food industry through the founding of the International Journal of Economic Sciences – Economix, a journal which also serves as the platform of its core International Scientific Congress of Economic Sciences – ECONOMICON, organized annually in June, in Ohrid, Macedonia.

Each of these services contributes towards the overall strategy of KEY becoming an indispensable partner to all target stakeholders and continually improving in all areas of scientific achievements.

Author Registration

Before submitting an abstract, authors must register in the Economix database, by filling out the Author Registration form.

After registration and abstract submission, the corresponding author will receive their Abstract Summary Review, alongside a pro invoice for payment for the publication. Authors can also receive an invoice, should they require and specify it, after payment confirmation for the paid publication fee has been sent to [email protected]

Payment

Payment can be processed via:

  • Bank transfer – via Pro-Invoice / Invoice, or
  • Credit card (Mastercard, Maestro, Visa) – via www.eshop.key.com.mk 

Term

Participants will usually receive a payment due date of 10 workdays, with precise dates specified in their received pro-invoice.

Fees

The publication fee for one manuscript:

  • 200 €

* All prices are in euros and include VAT.
* No more than two manuscripts can be published by one author in any single volume.

Bank Charges

All commissions and charges are borne by the client. If this requirement is not met, the publication fee is considered unpaid and the received registration form is regarded as invalid, thus the remitted amount is considered non-refundable.

The International Journal of Economic Sciences – Economix publishes articles in the fields of:

Our policy is that all submitted papers receive the fairest possible treatment, and our editors may consult other journal editors on relevant manuscripts. As a result, authors who have submitted their manuscripts to Economix may be encouraged to submit their papers to other journals and vice versa. However, papers will NEVER be transferred between journals without an author’s consent.

Authors may request, or editors may suggest, that papers or pre-submission inquiries (with reviews, if relevant) which are rejected from Economix be forwarded to an appropriate Journal, for further consideration. In that case, the editorial staff at Economix can help with the transfer of papers.

Access

The Economix Journal operates under Gold OA (Open Access), meaning that the final published version of your article is permanently and freely available online for anyone, anywhere to read. An article publishing charge (APC) is applicable.

Publication Charges

To provide open access, Economix uses a business model in which our expenses – including those of journal production, online hosting, archiving, etc. – are recovered in part by charging a Publication Fee to authors, in the range of 150 euros for one manuscript, and 100 euros for a second manuscript in the same volume. Formatting

All manuscripts have to be formatted according to the Publisher’s requirements (see the ‘Author Guidelines’ tab). Each manuscript has to be a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 20 typeset pages long. A shorter or longer length of the manuscript has to be discussed with the Publisher.
No more than two manuscripts by one author can be published in one volume.

Copyright and License Policies

By submitting an article, authors indicate their agreement to abide by the journal’s open-access license. The license permits any user to download, print out, extract, archive, and distribute their article, as long as appropriate credit is given to the authors and source of the work. The license ensures that the article will be widely available and that it can be included in any scientific archive.

Submission of Related Manuscripts

When submitting a full paper, all authors should also submit a Cover Letter to the Publisher, indicating that they have not submitted a similar manuscript for publication elsewhere.
If related work has been submitted elsewhere, then a copy must be included with the article submitted to Economix. In that case, editors will be asked to comment on the overlap between related submissions.

Revision and Correction

When advised by the Editorial Board members, or language editor, the Publisher has the right to send back manuscripts to their authors for correction. The Publisher may also reject manuscripts for publication if the suggested corrections are not appropriately implemented.

Competing Interests

Prior to submission, authors have to declare if they have any financial, personal, or professional interests that could be construed to have influenced their paper. Any relevant competing interests of authors must be available to editors during the review process and will be stated in published articles.

Confidentiality

Editors treat all submitted manuscripts in the strictest of confidence.

Scientific and Editorial Misconduct

Scientific misconduct is defined by the Office of Research Integrity as “fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, or other practices that seriously deviate from those that are commonly accepted within the academic community for proposing, conducting, or reporting research.” In cases where there is a suspicion or allegation of scientific misconduct or fraudulent research in manuscripts submitted for review, Economix reserves the right to pass along these manuscripts to the sponsoring or funding institution or other appropriate authority for investigation. Although Economix recognizes its responsibility to ensure that the suspicion of misconduct has been addressed, we do not make such determinations. Economix also respects the rules of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and will abide by its principles and rulings.
